Cats, meetups, photos and horror movies
Last weekend I visited Tenna at her parents' house. They have a dog and six cats. Their newest member is this cute little kitten that Tenna's mom rescued recently. She was so cute :3 It was a lovely day spent mostly inside mostly watching Supernatural and Mighty Boosh, hehe :D
The latest issue of Starlight Magazine was also revealed this week.
Besides a couple of mini features, I did two "minor" shoots. The Harry Potter selfportraits and the Hunter Loli shoot. Have look:
Yesterday I went to a meetup to celebrate the 1st anniversary of Danish Frills, which is a Danish forum focusing solely on Lolita fashion. We went to A.C. Perchs Tearoom which was a lovely place with a wonderful atmosphere. Everything was so luxurious.
Tenna and I had decided to be really fancy, so we both had big hair XD I tried doing this Marie Antoinette inspired hair do as shown in this video. But next time I think it needs to be a bit bigger ^^
I made this hairpiece from a decorative garland I had lying around. |
After the meetup, five of us went to the cinema to watch The Woman in Black. We had plenty of time before the movie started, so we took some outfit shots and then went a had something to warm to drink in the café at the cinema.
The movie was really good. I'm not one for horror movies, but since it's Daniel Radcliffe starring, I had to see it. I think he did really well. It was really scary, though, I found myself burying my face in my fox stole aka. George so many times and continuously bursting out "Dude!" and muttering to myself "nonononono", lol XD
But then again, I'm really not one for horror movies. ;)
So yeah, check out the trailer if you haven't already :D
Afterwards, Tenna and I went back to my place and watched Mighty Boosh, really tired and worn out from being out in the cold.
And to finish this entry, I'd like to show you two of my recent purchases:
Fresh out of the box ;) |
These shoes from Vivienne Westwood. Gosh, I've been sighing over these for so long now, so when I found them in this colour and my size, I had to go for it. They are so freaking comfortable and they smell like bubblegum, haha :D
I love them so much, I wish I could get a pair too in gold, lol ;)

The other thing is this dress from Metamorphose:

Shoot: Hunter Loli (for Starlight Magazine)
My plan was to not participate in the latest issue of Starlight Magazine. I wanted to take some time off and do some other things. But somehow I ended up doing both the Harry Potter photos and this shoot along with a couple of articles anyway. So much for not participating, huh.
Well, this shoot wasn't really on the schedule until the last minute, when Tenna and I decided to throw something together. As mentioned in my last entry, the theme was "Nerdy Lolita" and so when I had already shown the nerdy Harry Potter stuff, we decided to show off some of Tenna's Supernatural nerdery.
Tenna put together her own outfit and rather than basing it off one of the characters which, and let me just be honest here, we both thought about for a while, she decided to translate the whole "Hunter" concept to Lolita. I love this Sweet punky look she came up with :D
We invited Stine along for some Sammifer goodness, hehe *grins* and Cecil lead the way to this cool location and also helped with the carrying and reflector holding which was much appreciated :D
Onwards to the photos:

So besides it being freezing outside and my forgetting some of my equiptment (seriously, how stupid can you get?), we got some shots and afterwards we went to a coffeshop to enjoy some tasty hot chocolate and cake and also to reheat our limbs :/

The newest issue of Starlight Magazine is out and the theme was to show off the nerdy sides that many Lolitas have. I did a feature on my interest in Harry Potter. Check out the magazine here.

Lockshop Wigs Review - Positive
So I can’t be the only who’s been anxious to try out Lockshop’s wigs; Finally a wigshop based in Europe (no customs, yay) and the reviews so far have made their quality seem very promising, so when they revealed their new style: Short Curly Bob, I decided to try them out.
I couldn’t choose between the two colours (black and caramel), since I already have a black wig, I felt like the caramel wig would be the way to go, but since the black wig has Snow White written all over it, and I love all things related to Snow White, I couldn’t make up my mind. So I ordered both and I’m happy I did.
Overview:
- Ordered on January 25th
- Shipped on the 28th
- Arrived on Febuary 2nd
They ship from the Netherlands and I’m located in Denmark, so shipping time was fairly average.
The wigs arrived in a box:
Inside were the invoice, instructions on how to take of the wigs and a business card (and the wigs of course).
Each wig was wrapped in a ziplock bag with a protective cardboard strip. There were also two wigcaps.
Caramel wig
The colour is beautiful; this caramel brown, almost ginger, it’s gorgeous. Very accurate to the stock/promo photos on the site.
The wig is very soft, thick and very easy to style - even with just your fingers. It's not shiny and feels very natural.

Black wigThis wig is a natural black, not jet black, and is, like the caramel, very thick and soft. I just love this wig. Basically you can say the same things about this one as about the caramel.

Both wigs are very easy to work. You can part the bangs without problems. Fluff up the curls for a messy look or keep them neat.
In the photos, I've just run a wide toothed comb gently through them after unpacking them and then after putting the wigs on, I've just run my fingers through them a couple of times.
Also they have a skintop, so that makes for a very natural look.

Summing up:
- Shipping: 5/5
- Quality: 5/5
I'm extremely pleased with these two wigs and I can't wait to buy from Lockshop Wigs again.
