Sephora, Outfit & Books

Today I popped by the new Sephora downtown. It's the first in Denmark and it just opened yesterday. The grand opening is on the 15th. It was really cool, just an abundance of makeup, haha. I didn't actually buy anything, because it was so busy in there, I didn't really want to stay for too long. But I did see something that I really want now. The Naked 2 palette by Urban Decay.
This palette is so hyped it's almost ridiculous. But after seeing it in real life, I really want it. The colours look so amazing and it has several colours that I've been trying to find, without luck, lately. This one is definitely on my current wishlist, but I don't know if I want to spend 370DKK just now on makeup. Maybe next month or maybe I'll put it on my birthday wishlist, even though it's not until August. It is lovely, though.

Today's outfit -

Jacket/H&M - Top/Only - Belt/H&M - Headband&Jewelry/ Topshop - Black ring/Gina Tricot

I didn't get a good full body shot, but I just wore my gold leggings from Topshop with a black bodycon skirt. In case you were wondering.

I think I'm getting into another phase of reading books again. I love books, but I don't always read as much as I'd like. It comes in waves in a way. I won't read anything for months and then suddenly, I'll chaw down a big pile of books in no time.

I read Smertensbarn by Mette Finderup last night. This book doesn't actually come out before tomorrow, but I snagged the reading copy at work and gulfed it down last night. I don't usually read Danish books, but this one caught my eye and was really a page turner. It was really good, actually, I'm eagerly waiting for a sequel now.
I think I'm going to start Spellbound (Hex Hall 3) by Rachel Hawkins tonight, I really liked the first two books, so it'll be interesting to see what happens next.

Have you read any good books lately?

Goodiebox - March

I don't know about you guys, but after following lots of UK bloggers and reading about their Glossyboxes, I got a little jealous. I mean, who doesn't want to receive a neatly wrapped box with lots of beauty products inside each month. So I was super excited when I learned that a similar service, called Goodiebox, is offered here in Denmark.  For just 119DKK a month, I couldn't resist, so I signed up immediately.

Goodiebox is a new service, this is only their second box and they did have some delays this time. It was supposed to be a March box, but wasn't sent until almost two weeks into April. They compensated by adding a few extra things to the box. Mine arrived this morning and I'll take you through it now.

The products

Pukka – Uplifting Toner / Full Size costs 179DKK
I can honestly say, that I will not be using this product. I really like the idea of toners, but with my allergies/asthma they're just not for me, I feel like I'm suffocating when I use products like this.
This one is scented with roses and orange flowers which many people will probably like, but I kind of dislike the scent of roses, so that just makes me want to put this toner even further away.

Kevin Murphy – Luxury Wash / Full Size costs 188DKK
This is probably the product that I'm most excited about in this goodiebox. I never splurge on shampoos, so it's cool to get to try something that I would never buy myself, which is also the reason I bought the goodiebox in the first place.

Now that I've tried it, I'm seriously considering getting a full size. The smell is so amazing and it's left my hair moisturized and so smooth, I really love it! If only it weren't so ridiculously expensive :/

Veet – Suprem’essence Wax Strips / Full Size costs 79,95DKK
Again a product I wouldn't buy myself. I've never tried waxing, so this could probably be an interesting test.

Oh My Gosh  nail varnish – Light Nutmeg / Full Size costs 39,95DKK
I was hoping for a nail varnish and this nude colour with a slight shimmer will be perfect for when I don't want to go too bold with my nails.

Blax – Hair elastic / Full Size (8 stk) costs 69DKK
Maybe I live under a rock, but I had never heard of these, but if I had, I'm sure I wouldn't be paying that price for hair elastics. So it's cool to try them. Apparently, they're the shit, haha. They do seem surprisingly good.

Aco – Sense & Care Hand lotion  / Full Size costs 48DKK
I think many will love this hand lotion. It leaves your hands feeling very soft and smooth with a nice scent. I don't really use hand lotion, only on a occasion, but I wouldn't mind starting to use one more often. But my problem with this one in particular is that it's scented. Again with my allergies and whatnot, I find scented products in general to be really bothersome, but I might use this one every once in a while.

Pukka – Nourishing Face Oil / Full Size costs 329DKK
I don't know about this sample. I have combination skin, so I'm always a bit wary of applying oily products. But maybe I'll give it a go one day to see how it is.

Pukka – Tea / Full Size costs 38DKK
Three tea samples; One with organic nettle, fennel and peppermint, and two with organic rose, sweet vanilla and chamomile. I'm a bit picky when it comes to tea, but I don't mind tasting something new, so I think these are a nice addition to the box.

Chocolate eggs / Three eggs cost 40DKK
They were goddamn delicious. That's all there is to say about these.

Overall
I think this was an okay goodiebox for me, I'm not over the moon about it, but I'm not down in the dirt either. It would have been nice to have received it on time, but what's done is done and I appreciate the extra products they put into the box to compensate.

I mean, it is a bit hit or miss with these kinds of things. They're obviously not going to please everyone every time. For me it was a bit miss, not be cause they didn't offer a wide selection, it's purely because (most of) the products don't really appeal to me. But that's the good thing about the goodiebox, I guess, you get to try products for a cheap price to see if it's for you, so you don't waste a lot of money of full size products you won't use.

There were a few highlights and I'm definitley staying on board for the next box. So if you live in Denmark and you want to sign up for the Goodiebox go to their site here. That's all, I think. I'm excited to see what they come up with for the next box.

Haul: Wet''n'Wild

Photo from nelly.com
A while back I got this palette from nelly.com by wet'n'wild and I absolutlely love it. I've been using it almost everyday for two months or so. Naturally, I was super excited when I saw that Bilka had started stocking this brand. Their products are super cheap and the quality is surprisingly good. I picked up this lot:

Lipstick - Rosebud
Nail polish - Sparked
Blush - Heather Silk
Eyeshadow palette - Comfort Zone

Sparked
There were several beautiful glitter nailpolishes in the shop and I'm kind of hooked on glitter these days, so it was hard to restrain myself, but I settled on this pink glitter polish. Love the colour and I think it works well on its own, but can also be used for layering on top of a base coat.

I love palettes and I especially love these palettes from wet'n'wild. The colours are so well put together. They all match and yet you can still achieve many different looks. My favourites from this palette are the first three colours in the first column. The reason I got the other pink/purple palette first was that I was afraid these brown tones would be too boring, but the lustre finish looks really nice without being over the top.

Heather silk
This blush is very pigmented, so use with a light hand i.e. not the accompanying applicator. I love the colour and it's become my daily blush.

I really like the feel of this lipstick on my lips. It doesn't feel cakey or too sticky. It has a really nice matte finish, which is the reason I got it. I thought it would be a little more pink when I picked it up, just from what it looked like under the lights in the store, but it's more of a warm muted red, so yeah, it's probably not for everyone - colourwise. I can only wear it with warm toned makeup. But it lasts for a long time and it has really good coverage, so it's definitely worth checking out.

All in all, it's definitely not the last time I've browsed the wet'n'wild stand.

New Winter Hairstyle

New Winter HairstyleIn terms of hair, purple is the hair color of choice for many young females. In terms of facial features, a neutral look is in order - with emphasis on the eyes and lips..For this season, however, red, pink, brown, and peach lipstick colors are back in the fold. For the yes, the smoky look is still a winter trend (very strong this season). and eyeliners are back as well –
